Prospective MLB Franchise for Nashville

 

Nashville, Tennessee (July 1, 2020) — Music City Baseball – a community based coalition driving to bring a Major League Baseball franchise to Nashville – received a significant boost to its ownership group with the establishment of “Nashville Baseball Investment Group, LLC”, (NBIG) an alliance of African American and young professional business leaders who are investing a stake in the franchise and helping secure the team.

Nashville native, Samaria Leach is a woman with a big heart and lots of love. While volunteering after the Nashville tornado in early March, and then when schools closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in mid-March, Samaria was paying attention.

Bob Kendrick - President Negro League Baseball Museum

On April 15th, The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum announced their partnership with Music City Baseball. This business relationship includes revenue sharing and cooperation between marketing and social media efforts. Music City Baseball has agreed to work in good faith to provide physical space in the permanent stadium facility, once constructed, for the prospective MLB team.

Star Of The Month

Maggie was the inspiration for her husband, Tim Corbin – Vanderbilt Commodores Baseball head coach – to create Topps style baseball trading cards recognizing the people fighting on the front lines to curb the COVID-19 virus. Maggie is constantly working behind the scenes and she deserves to be recognized for her hard work and charismatic personality.
