October 29, 2025 – We’re thrilled to congratulate Community Advisor Rosetta Miller-Perry on her induction into the Nashville Entrepreneurs’ Hall of Fame by the Nashville Entrepreneur Center!

Miller-Perry — who founded the Tennessee Tribune newspaper in 1992 — was one of three inductees in 2025. Born in Pennsylvania, she is well ingrained with the state of Tennessee, as she graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in chemistry, and attended nursing school at Tennessee State University and Meharry Medical College. She found her calling in the civil rights struggle and has worked tirelessly in numerous activism roles, including alongside Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

A consummate and tireless entrepreneur, Miller-Perry founded Perry and Perry Associates in 1990 and published Contempora — a Tennessee-focused African American magazine — two years before she launched the Tribune to focus on issues like health, education, and voter registration. In 1998, she established the Greater Nashville Black Chamber of Commerce (GNBCC) and partnered with Dell Computers to form the Anthony J. Cebrun Journalism Center to prepare young people for careers in journalism.

Congratulations, Rosetta! We are extremely grateful for your presence on our team and in our city. Go Stars!
