October 29, 2025 – Maybe it’s the candy from Halloween, maybe it’s the full spread on our Thanksgiving tables, or maybe it’s a delicious blend of the two. Whatever it may be, our hunger levels seem to surge right around this time of year. But not to worry, because three major chains are on their way to the Nashville area to solve all of our hunger qualms.

Buc-ee’s, Ltd. just began breaking ground in Murfreesboro — already its fourth location in the state of Tennessee — as it recognizes the strength of the market throughout the state. Across 74,000 square feet, this Buc-ee’s will offer 120 fuel stations along with its classic Texas barbecue, jerky, fudge and more, creating more than 250 full-time jobs. State of Tennessee Governor Bill Lee attended the groundbreaking on October 14th.

“Murfreesboro has been a great partner to work with since we first visited,” Buc-ee’s director of real estate and development Stan Beard said in a news release. “This community will be a welcome pitstop for folks traveling to and from Nashville and Atlanta and the Gulf Coast.”

Establishing a greater presence in Middle Tennessee is exactly what’s on tap for Wawa, Inc., which in August announced its expansion into Middle Tennessee with plans to open six locations in 2026.

In-N-Out Burger has already invested in property in Franklin — just south of Nashville — with plans to open its eastern headquarters next year. Earlier this month, In-N-Out Burger invested another $30.15 million on an industrial warehouse facility in Wilson County — directly east of downtown Nashville — to be used as a “regional hub,” according to The Tennessean.

In tandem with the plans to open more than 30 locations across the city, the investment is yet another commitment by the California fast-food giant in the Nashville area – not just in opening restaurants, but in establishing a further corporate presence in Music City.

The Stars applaud Wawa, In-N-Out and Buc-ee’s on their continued investment in Nashville and the excitement that they continue to generate for our community.
