February 19, 2026 – We’ve shown many different ways in which Nashville has set tourism records in recent years. In 2025, Nashville surpassed one of its own records set just two years earlier.
Davidson County sold more than 10.24 million hotel rooms last year, outdoing its 2023 record high of 10.018 million rooms.
“There are a number of things that really keep our momentum going. When you look at television broadcasts, you look at the projects and programs that we’ve done, you look at international flights, it’s all of those things together that have made a difference and have kept tourism going,” Deana Ivey, president and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp., told the Nashville Business Journal.
Occupancy surged throughout the year thanks to the host of events on the schedule, including the FIFA Club World Cup, CMA Fest, several concerts and football games. The 2025 Let Freedom Sing! Music City event welcomed an event-record 365,000 fans and generated $23.8 million for the city, on the strength of nearly 31,000 hotel rooms sold.
“2025 was another landmark year for downtown Nashville, reinforcing the role of economic and cultural heart of our city and region,” Nashville Downtown Partnership president and CEO Tom Turner said in the Partnership’s recent annual report.
In addition to quantity, Nashville also soared to the top of the experts’ ratings, as four downtown hotels were named among the best in the world by Condé Nast Traveler’s 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards: No. 4: Thompson Nashville (No. 4), The Bobby (No. 16), The Westin Nashville (No. 19) and The Joseph Nashville (No. 50).
