December 3, 2025 – “Just a typical Tuesday night in Nashville.”
With this message, Nashville Stars Music & Entertainment Advisor and SiriusXM host Buzz Brainard opened the Nashville Stars’ first Songwriters’ Night at The Listening Room Café on Tuesday night, a reminder of what sets Nashville apart as an ideal destination for Major League Baseball to establish itself.
The roster of outstanding talent — who have crafted No. 1 hits for the likes of Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Taylor Swift, Eric Church, Toby Keith, Reba McIntire and more — featured songwriters Marv Green, JT Harding and the Warren Brothers, with Brett Mondie opening the show with his first Nashville appearance. These musical masterminds gave a packed house an evening of live music mixed in with fascinating and amusing back stories right in the heart of downtown Nashville, showing the true heart of our city during the first of many of these amazing shows. And it was, as Buzz said, a typical Tuesday night — in fact, any night — in Nashville, with top-level music on display, complimented by cheers for baseball in Nashville from the performers and the crowd.
The positive energy keeps going. The Stars announced a commitment to middle-school baseball programs in Nashville public schools, partnering with The Players Alliance’s Bat 2 School initiative here in Middle Tennessee. We’re excited to be able to contribute to such a great effort.
The Stars are extremely grateful to Buzz, Brett Mondie, Brad and Brett Warren, JT and Marv for such a memorable performance, and we are excited to feature them at our own venue once Major League Baseball arrives in Nashville.
