May 21, 2025 – The revenue charts. The corporate arrivals. The popularity. Regardless of the metric, Nashville keeps growing.

Growth is also on the mind of Kelly King, PwC’s Nashville office managing partner. King moved PwC into the Nashville Yards neighborhood this spring, nearly tripling the firm’s office space in Music City. With the company more than doubling its total headcount within the past five years, she emphasized that Nashville remains pivotal to the firm’s continued growth opportunities.

“If you think back 10 years ago, people would talk about Nashville being the mecca for for-profit health care for the U.S., similar to what technology was in Silicon Valley,” King said. “We’ve become so much more than that.”

Labeling Nashville as one of the firm’s “trendsetters for growth,” King lauded the city’s strength across numerous industries. “We just think about all the it-lists that Nashville is on that really drives so much business and economic growth, whether that’s travel or leisure or food and wine magazines,” she said. “It’s on the top 10 it-list of cities to live in and so we want to continue to attract the best talent.

“For a number of years now in a row, Nashville has been the No. 1 city of campuses that students request that they want to come and live in,” King added. “That’s a big piece of how we think about our growth as well: How are we going to continue to invest in those people that we want to attract in terms of the top talent? And if this is a city they want to live in, then we want to be able to attract the best talent to Nashville.”

The Nashville Stars Baseball Club applaud King’s mentality — and that of all business leaders choosing to bring their corporations to Music City — and we look forward to being part of Major League Baseball (MLB)’s growth by bringing a franchise to Nashville.
