Music City Baseball would like to honor Steve Smith, the Chairman of Haury & Smith Contractors, Inc., and a member of The MCB Board of Directors. Smith thinks of himself as a baseball guy and has been one his entire life.
“I have two brothers and all three of us were involved in athletics in our younger years. I played at Middle Tennessee State University and one of the most influential people of my life, was my coach while I played college baseball.
To continue the love of the game that he shared with his two brothers, Smith also coached his son’s baseball teams. His company, Haury & Smith Contractors, Inc. has sponsored several little league programs across the mid-state. Smith currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Williamson County Sports Authority.
Smith has seen potential for the mid-state area for years as a developer and hopes this potential will carry over into an MLB presence in Music City. “I hope there will be major league action in Nashville, and I am confident that there will be.”
